Muay Thai is referred to as the Art of Eigth Limbs. The hands, shins, elbows and knees are all used extensively in this martial art. As a practitioner of Muay Thai you will have the ability to execute blows using eight points of contact, as opposed to two points (fists) in boxing and four points (fists, feet) used in the primarily sport-oriented forms of martial arts such as karate and tae kwon do.

Muay Thai also known as Thai Boxing is one of the fastest growing sports and the stand up fighting style of MMA and the UFC. Anta’s Muay Thai Kickboxing classes focuses heavily on a good cardio workout, which includes both aerobic and anaerobic activities. Training regimens include hheavy bag work, focus mitts and Thai pad work are done in intervals while throwing kicks, knees, elbows and punches with a lot of power. As part of your training you’ll also workout doing shadowboxing, body weight resistance exercises and abdominals work. This type of workout will work on your endurance and muscle tone making it the ultimate fitness program while learning to defend yourself.
